I offer a safe and confidential space where we can work together, at your own pace, exploring issues and beliefs that are causing distress or confusion. Previous clients have brought various issues, including anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, trauma and relationships difficulties. I use a variety of approaches, including CBT, Transactional Analysis and Person Centred Therapy, adapting to the needs of each individual.
I have a Dip.H.E. in counselling from Waverley Abbey College and have worked in the nursing and caring professions and in pastoral work. I am a member of the Association of Christian Counsellors.
John and Ruth Doherty adhere to professional ethical standards for counselling and have regular supervision, insurance and ongoing professional development.
