How to book a session

If you feel you would benefit from counselling and would like to know more, please email John or Ruth with your telephone number and a suitable time to call you.  They will call you and have a short conversation about your goals for counselling. You can also ask questions about the counselling process and practicalities.

If you’d like to proceed further, we can arrange an initial session at a mutually convenient time. At this session you can go into more detail about the reason you would like to come for counselling. Consideration will be given as to whether I am the counsellor best suited to help you or whether another professional would be better suited to your needs. Should we mutually decide to proceed, we can sign a therapeutic contract and set up a regular, weekly appointment. We would recommend an initial commitment of 6 sessions.

If you prefer to wait or need more time to think about it, that will be fine. Should we feel that neither of us are the right counsellor for you, we may refer you to another counsellor who would be better suited to your needs. Your best interest will be our first consideration at all times.
