Problems people face

Counselling can help  with many different kinds of issues including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • The management of stress
  • Work related issues
  • Grief/bereavement/loss
  • Dealing with life/emotional crisis, dilemmas and change.
  • Self esteem issues
  • Burn out
  • Past abuse
  • Post-Traumatic Stress

What to expect.

Counselling is not about giving advice. Rather the counselling relationship provides a safe space for expressing and articulating your feelings and exploring possible solutions. When it comes to your life, you are the expert. As you grow in self-awareness, things can be seen in a new perspective and problems tend to diminish in size.   As counsellors, we seek to facilitate this process through showing understanding and empathy, putting ourselves in your shoes, as it were. Being understood by another can be a powerful catalyst for change.

The only normal people are the ones you don't know very well.
